As a marketing manager at my current position, I oversee & manage marketing plans for 100+ engagements a year. I constantly have to check in and monitor how the event's presale/on sale activation performed, how well the sales are currently performing, and build & evolve the plans as needed.

I am in charge of seeing the show through entirely from the moment it's confirmed all the way until the end of the actual performance.

What I've truly learned these past few years is that a marketing manager is not just focused on marketing. You market the show of course, but you're also a social media manager, ticketing manager, box office manager, media buyer, keeping relations afloat between tour/venues/internal company, project manager, therapist, TicketMaster wizard, DJ, etc.
